• Perfection is the enemy of good...

Many people who want to learn a new language have a high standard of perfection for themselves. They think that they need to speak flawlessly, write correctly, and understand everything. However, this mindset can be counterproductive and discouraging for language learners. A more realistic and helpful approach is to aim for good enough, not perfect. Good enough means that you can communicate your ideas, express your feelings, and interact with others in the target language. It does not mean that you have to know every word, grammar rule, or cultural nuance.
